Pantera

Today we will talk of a great post thrash metal band: Pantera. Pantera was a metal band that became famous in the late 80's during a wave of thrash bands. Pantera had a very unique sound, based on complex drum sets, heavily distorted guitars and a great bass. Other characteristic of this band is Phil Anselmo which provided loud semi hardcore metal almost death metal screams. The band came to an end in the 90's, just when it had acquired a great mainstream metal recognition. It all ended when a "fan" shot twice in the back of the head guitarrist Dimebag Darrell with a shotgun.

Even though the game is a bit old, some of us still enjoy Gran Turismo 5. The first time we played this game, we thought it was going to be boring, but it resulted to be the opposite. The first surprise this game brought us was that one of My Chemical Romance songs was included in the game, and was part of the official trailer. Obviously as fans of this band, we could'nt actually believe what we were listening to as we played the game. So for those of you who do'nt know the game or the song, here's the video. Believe us the combination of such a great band as MCR and this incredible racing simulator match perfectly. 

The Big 4 of Metal

After a while of posting mainly of electronic and dance music with the exception of Taylor Swift, we decided to introduce the heavy and dark side of music. Metal, is one of the genres we highly praise and we are sure some of you also do it, so to decently introduce it to our blog we decided to dedicate a post to the Great 4 of Thrash Metal -Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax-
Thrash metal is a genre derived from heavy metal, characterized by insanely fast and heavy guitar riffs, loud mindblowing drums and dark lyrics. Out of the vast list of bands that can be mentioned, we can say 4 of them are really outstanding out of them, previously mentioned.

Metallica- Is one of the most succesful bands of the metal industry. it provided us with various moments of headbanging and made us wish we could play the guitar as well as  Kirk Hammett. Leaded by James Hetfield in vocals and rhythm guitar, Robert Trujillo in bass, Lars Ulrich in Drums and Kirk Hammett in the lead guitar. Some memorable songs: Master of Puppets, One, Enter Sandman, Nothing Else Matters, Fade To Black, Trapped Under Ice, The Day That Never Comes. *

Megadeth- What can be called the esssence of modern Thrash Metal. Maintaining its heavy, fast songs with ironical and sarcastic lyrics, praised by some, hated by others. Has achieved a high status among metal fans. Leaded by Dave Mustaine in vocals and rhythm guitar, Dave Ellefson in bass, Shawn Drover in drums and Chris Broderick in lead guitars. Memorable songs: Peace Sells, A Tout Le Monde, Symphony of Destruction, Tornado Of Souls, Sweating Bullets, This Day We Fight, Sudden Death. *

Slayer- The living image of pure hell, the way we see it. The band from which not one single album is considered anything but Thrash. One of the loudest, fastes and darkest bands in the whole industry. It is praised for their outstanding live shows and heavy records. Leaded by Tom Araya in bass and vocals, Jeff Hanneman in lead guitars, Kerry King in rhythm guitars and Dave Lombardo in drums. outstanding songs: Raining Blood, Angel of Death, Hell Awaits, Dittohead, South of Heaven, Stain of Mind, World Painted Blood.

Anthrax- An underated giant. A band known for its insane metal anthems which basically symbolized the whole Thrash movement. It is a decent carrier of the genre. Leaded by Joey Belladonna in vocals, Scott Ian in rhythmic guitar, Rob Caggiano in lead guitars, Frank Bello in bass and Carlie Benante in drums. Memorable songs: Madhouse, Indians, Caught in a Mosh, Antisocial, I Am The Law

So... the other day talking to a friend of us, suddenly showed us a video he claimed made him laugh in a way he ended up sitting there emmiting no sound and clapping like a retarded seal (he actually did).

This video will actually make you LOL in epic magnitudes, specially if you are a Battlefield 3 fanboy. The original song belongs to The Lonely Island. Enjoy it.

GTA V - The most anticipated mayhem of the year

For all of those who spent hours driving and flying around Lo Santos in GTA San Andreas, being chased by the police and gangsters some years ago; you will be doing it again this year.

Yeah,  we bet you guys are excited for this new realease; we are, obviously after seeing that almost real adaptation of LA in a video game in which you are allowed to do anything you can imagine.

This GTA follows the previous release GTA 4 in which we controlled a russian guy called Niko Bellic who tried to solve his family problems as well as other struggles in Liberty CIty.

To the date we dont have any other information of the game than this trailer, but we can say that it will be one of the most anticipated releases of the year. We've heard some comments of the game such as CJ being the main character of this game, others say its Tony, but all we can say is that whoever it is it will be one of the best experiences creating mayhem in this open world called Los Santos

The game is expected to be released this April for PS3, XBox 360 and PC
